I really enjoyed all of the action that happened throughout the book. Many fights and intense events happen. One of my favorite parts was when this strong man at the small camp that Aidan was staying at beat up many sweepers at once. The sweepers were then hurt and unable to capture people. Another part with a lot of action is when Aidan and Lucy need to find a way to escape from the tree. The dogs went running one way and eventually found out that the people were attempting to escape. Lucy and Aidan booked it and were able to get to a safe place. The story was also very detailed during all of the actions. During the fights, it felt like you were there and you could hear and see everything. For example, when the sweepers came to attack, it felt as if you were right there and could see everything that was going on. I think this book was all in all a good book that I enjoyed reading!

This book was very suspenseful. You would neveer know what could happen at the turn of each page. The book took you back through Lucys past and showed you what it was like to first handedly experience the apacolypse. You got to see the begining of the virus and experience an average every day person survive in a wasteland. If i had to read it again, I would.
