Summer Reading
Once again, Ellington Middle School was given an Excellence Award by Governor Rell for 2010. We were one of 5 middle schools recognized in the state for excellence in the Summer Reading Program! Our 7th and 8th grade students (390) read over 2400 books last summer! Hopefully we can do even better during the summer of 2010!
2009 – Ellington Middle School recently received word that once again we have been recognized as one of the top-performing schools in the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge. Today, I traveled to Hartford with Mrs. Fetta, another LA teacher, and three students to receive our award and meet Governor Rell. It was great! We were one of six middle schools in the state to be recognized! Great job EMS readers! Let’s read even more this summer…
